CBR1000RR Engine ticking noise
Hi All,
Just bought my first Fireblade after many years being a Gixxer rider, no idea why not as I'm totally converted.
I have a 2004 CBR1000RR 19k with full service history, this bike rides like a dream, absolutely love it.
One issue is that the engine has a faint high pitch ticking noise at all revs, cant really hear it as you get going but I have no idea if there is something bad going on or if its normal as I've heard these engines are noisy.
I've attached a file of the engine sound at tickover, is this normal (opens in windows media player)? I know its not CCT as it has a new manual one and I've been told its not the valve clearances, but i'm unsure on that?
Bike rides like a dream and real smooth, any advise would be really appreciated.
Cheers all Blincs
Thanks I'm assuming no one knows on this, probably easier just to take to garage
Cheers

Took it to my local bike dealer who serviced bike anyway, they did adjust the manual CCT a little which has made a small difference but still a little ticky.
The reality is the 04-06 engines are noisy with this and garage advised engine is fine, so had to get used to it as it runs fantastic with low miles for year.
Could check if valve clearances have been done I think 16k miles (can be costly) , but on talking to dealers these bikes are real solid and haven't known any of these engines to go.
If its real bad get it checked out.
Cheers
