Default Cbr1000 repsol edition??

I was thinking about buying a new cbr1000 and was wondering if they still made the repsol editions? If so what is different about these bikes besides the fairings and wheels and how much are they?

so far, honda has released a repsol version on the odd years (2005, 2007, 2009, 2011...) there are no functional differences, just appearance. the cheapest route to imitate one would probably be to get a set of china fairings and paint the wheels.

Solid black, Solid red and the white with multiple color graphics is what is available for 2012. Very odd since the whole race replica bikes thing started when a championship was won, the following year a replica would be produced to celebrate the victory and the rider. Then Honda started to just make them as regener8ed stated, at intervals no matter how the performance was on the track. It kind of took away from the rarity and desire for people to have them. But now, they won the 2011 MotoGP championship, and no replica???

Having said that. The 2012 does look very good. At first, I didn't think they did enough to seperate it from the 2011, but after seeing it for awhile now, I think they did a good job. by itself, its a nice looking bike. Its only when it sits next the 2011 that you can see so many similarities, that it looks like they didn't change much. I really like the wheels for a factory set. However, I don't like the digital tach. I still prefer an analog tach with digital speedo. The gear indicator is a nice touch though.
