how often are you going to do the top speed? on any bike
1 handling
2 braking
3 mid range....99% of riders stay there.
4 quality of finish....detail to the build
5 have you ridden the new R1?... annoying vibration through the frame between 3000-5000rpm
6 pillions hate the heat from the design of their muffler system
7...... your answer........HONDA

well, well i took my 07 repsol last sunday to achand big tohunga canyon fora test drive....compare to my 06R1 yellow it does have an advantage,,,,steering wise low or high speed its precision (no over or under steer) it goes where u want it. power wise it respond faster and has more midrange pull ( i just stays in 4th gear and passed couple of bikes on a turn). comfort wise seat is just fine a bit wide at front than R1 narrow seat ( my b...s not complaning), mirrors are functional no cross-eyed, dizzy or blurry i can id rear veh. R1 rear view mirrors non-existant. tranny wise ok no problem found shift the way u want it. instrunment cluster a bit ugly. looks i dont know what anybody wantsmore i think the 07repsol is one of most exotic bike ever made from the rising sun...not just a collectable item but aworld history as well,,,thanks n hayden,,u made us proud being an american,,,,yaaaahhh lets ride

Top speed, HP, and acceleration times are definately not an issue with these liter bikes. Amateur riders on bikes with no or slight modifications should not be worried about being faster than the next guy because there are toooooo many variables. You could line up with a guy and loose because of wind, rider's ability, how many miles you have on your back tire compared to him, what kind of gas you run...etc. I strongly believe fit and finish is what matters and i think that honda has the best fit and finish BY FAR! I have a cbr 1000rr, gixxer1000rr, hayabusa 1300, and a zx-14. the cbr definately has more attention to detail.

i dont know about the 07 repsol but i have an 04 repsol and have never lost against an r1, the 07 pose a challenge but i pull from them in 3rd, and 4th, i have only raced an 07 and an 04 r1, the 04s are garbage, may as well be racing an r6. my bike is stock except for a two brothers exhaust. i imagine that the 07 repsol is just as bad *** as mine. gsxrs are on my bitch list as well, go with the repsol all the way.

ORIGINAL: ASAP

hey guys my dad is looking for another bike he likes the R1 and the new Repsol but i hear that the R1 is faster and that of all 07 bikes that are coming out, the CBR is the slowest one. Just need some feedback on wat to get. He hasa Triumph SPEED triple 1050..
Let me see if I understand this. He is riding a speed triple and he's worried about the CBR1000RR being slow? [sm=icon_rofl.gif]Talk about irony. All of the Japanesesuper bikes have a 40+ horsepower advantage and are 30 lbs. or more lighter than the Speed Triple.
Hey, I am a day late (month actually) and a dollar short. [sm=oopssign.gif]
