Default CBR V ZX12R

I currently have a stock 2005 CBR1000 RR, and am thinking of also getting a stock Kawasaki ZX-2R.

Has anyone any experience on this bike, as I havnt ridden one yet, I just like the performance figures I have seen?

I couldnt imagine it having better acceleration than my CBR but am told by Kawasaki owners that it would, does anyone know if this is true, or are there certain rev ranges or even on initial take-offthat the CBRwould bequicker?

I had a 2006 ZX-12r before i bought the Honda. It had a lot of torque, power and a huge top end speed. I did a couple of quarter mile runs on her stock and was hitting the low 10's. Off the mark i would say both bikes would be quite close, up until the 3rd or 4th gear and then the 12 would take the mark!!! The 12 has the torque but carries a lot more weight, the RR has the revs and lower gearing. But when you compare the way the bike handles the RR will leave the 12 behind in the cornering department. I find the RR better for city riding and the 12 for touring rides. Hope this helps in any way!
