Hello everyone I have a question about my bike that I cant seen to find the answer to. Here it goes I have a 07 cbr 1k red black well I got some pretty bad scratches just on my gas tank left side cover and pretty much ruined the black stripes that are on the side . So I was wondering where would I be able to find the same stickers that are on the tank and I also wanted to know what do you need to put over the sticker (sealer , clear coat) ? not sure because they looked as if they are clear coated over. Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks.

I dont how deep your scratches are, it could make a big difference. If the scratches are just in the clear coat, you may be able to just have the cover sanded and re-cleared. If they are too deep for that, then repainting and re-striping would be necessary. You may have 3 options there. (1) paint the stripes on and clear the whole cover. (2) Paint the tank, clear it, order stripes from Honda. (3) Paint and clear the tank and have an aftermarket company like trimline come in and cut custom stripes for it. They usually service automotive body shops on a regular basis.
Any of the 3 options are gonna have you going to see a professional unless you know someone personally who is in the body and paint business.
