cbr 1000 do or don't

I had the same question last fall, except for me it was the decision of a 2007 or 2013 CBR1000rr. Long story short, I've had many...many bikes over the span of 18yrs (not including the early years of dirt bikes) and I can say without a doubt! The 2007 CBR1000rr is by far thee best bike I've ever owned/ridden for many reasons. (I also currently own a 2000 ZX9r and previously owned a 2000 ZX6r bought new) I went with the 07 for many reasons, but the top 3 being 1. the 2007 has no problems as model years before, after and current have (Oil, starter,Stator) 2. No ABS, No slipper clutch, No traction control 3. And IMHO by far the best looking CBR ever produced to date. This bike is truly amazing and is so far the only bike I can say "I WILL keep till I cant swing my leg over it anymore"

Well I decided to go with the 06 and since it already had the extension blocks on it I'm gonna ride it till I get used to it my mechanic who is family said whenever in ready he will remove them....which leads me to my next question or the blocks hard to remove...

Riding a 2007 is astoundingly better then riding a 1989 CBR! As the years progress, so does the technology that goes into everything, including motorcycles. As my first post states, "I PERSONALLY" think the 07 CBR 1000rr is thee best sport bike/CBR ever made to date! I listed 3 main reasons in my previous post as to why "I PERSONALLY" think the 07 CBR1000rr is thee best! 1st reason. I PERSONALLY don't want a bike with known problems that plague other CBR years before 07 and after through to current! The main one being Hugh oil consumption on the 08 to current. 2nd reason is the less sensors, electronics used the better! Less things to melfunction and I don't want some electronic sensor assisting me while I'm pushing it through a turn or limiting how hard I accelerate! (Again MY PERSONAL OPINION) and the 3rd reason I gave was looks. Simply put, I PERSONALLY think the 07 CBR1000rr is the SWEETEST looking Sport ever produced to date. Everyone has their "PERSONAL OPINION" this is mine!

The oil consumption issue seems to be random. My 08 isn't one of them. Many people probably think ALL 08+ years have oil issues because when someone has one they're more motivated to join a forum and post about it than the majority of those whose bikes don't have a problem.
I went from a 1984 Yamaha FJ1100 to an '08 Honda 1000RR. Quite a change. My Yamaha had far less electronic gadgets, it was easier to do a valve adjustment and I even enjoyed hooking up the vacuum carb sync tool and getting them all perfectly balanced.
However, I'll trade the simplicity of my old FJ1100 for the awesome power and handling I get out of my 1000RR. I bought it because it won the Superbike Smackdown in 08 and 09 and Honda was selling them for less than $7k brand new at one time with rebates. And I even like how it looks.
