Default Catalytic Converter

if i remove the catalytic convert, would it make any difference performance wise? would it shave off some pounds or even give me a lil more power/lose power? or would it just make the bike louder? just curious.

just go after market, it reduces weight, gets rid of the cat converter, sounds cool, and looks good. As far as suggestions go, I have the Arata, but its your bike, you just have to go with you feel is best.

Default RE: Catalytic Converter

thanks for the reply bro. yeah, well the thing is. i'm planning on going with a sato slip. i didn't really think it was worth getting a full system since it'll only work when i'm using it's full potential and it's not like i go to the tracks alot. damn, i haven't even gone to one. but i am planning to. i also did alot of research with the full and slip on sato and from the dyno charts that i read, the slip on had more bottom and mid range power. if i find the dyno charts again, i'll post it up. has anybody tried doing this? slip on and taking out the cat or just boring it out?
