Man that sucks. I remember the feeling in my gut when my zx6r got lifted. This is why I will never live in a house that does not have a garage. Hope you get her back. But with the GAP and everything you should be all set.

While I was out and about today taking care of insurance issue (getting reciepts for aftermarket stuff, affidavit, etc) my wife and I looked at some bikes. If my bike isn't recovered it looks like I will either be getting the 09 Repsol or the 09 Black 1000rr. I'll keep everyone posted as I find out more from the insurance company. Should be about a month before I get the final details. Once I know moroe about what is going on I will look into another bike. I suspect within the next month and a half you will see pics of a new bike unless mine is recovered. Than you will see pics of what will most likely be a damaged bike.

damn dude thats crazy.. good thing for the insurance coverage though. It seems like thieves will always find a way to take bikes. Good luck on the '09 model.

If he had lo-jack his bike would be back in his carport. Or in the back of his truck in pieces.

I think what I have is better than lo-jack my friend. I basically have a sticker that the company calls a "theft deterrent". If my bike isn't recovered in 30 days, I get a 5k credit at the dealership towards a new bike. With lo-jack it gets recovered in who knows what condition and who knows whats been done with it. www.rpmone.com is where this deterrent and gap coverage are from.

I also just talked with my insurance and I have a feeeling they are gonna F me over. The claim should be settled next week. I will keep everyone posted.

So my insurance paid of my lien and are sending me a check for.....wait for it.....$483. WOW. I feel like I am getting hosed.....bad. As far as my theft coverage goes, if my bike is not recovered with in the next 21 days, I will get a $5000 credit at the dealership that I bought the bike. I am leaning towards an 09 Ducati 848 or 1098. I havent decided which one yet.

if you must, turn from the beast on the streets (08/09 1krr) and lean toward the Italians well go for the 09 1198...what a masterpiece! Even though i must say from experience the 1098 is the closest thing to a motogp machine on the streets

But really the 1198 is a pure race bike, 170bhp stock, lighter than 1098, new face lift, looks beautiful in white lol ...price hmmm...$16,495 (worth it)
