It's not. the only difference is the red/silver are generally priced a little cheaper because no one likes the color scheme so they need to lower the price to sell them.

Yellow and black looks good, or the all Black LE if you can find one looks sweet, just look at Tbagr's ride.

 

Where can i buy an 08 at a good price. Does any one know where i can buy one for 10,000 or less OTD. If so where? and i will travel.What did you guys pay for yours? New ones also i might add. Thanks for all your help and input. I cant wait for the first ride.

O and the white and black ones are only 09 right, and has anyone seen the all orange ones like a sunburt orange, i seen one on google images search and i looked sick, but it was a disply bike at one of the priemer shows.

 

I paid 14k OTD in September with .7 miles on it. That included first years maint. paid for, lojak, etc. overall it wasn't a bad deal. You can probably get one cheaper now since I'm sure dealerships are trying to make room for the 09's.

 

I just picked up an 08 leftover (black and silver) about a week ago for $10,400. $11,100 OTD.. They had 1 more silver and 2 red ones available. Per the dealership owner, he just bought these from Honda. He also had a brand new 07 in a crate that just came in. With the price increase and 40% less units available for 09, I doubt you will find too many dealers giving away the 08's. Invoice on the 08 is $9,895 and they have $500 dealer cash back also. My dealer was cool enough to give me the $500 in cash when I signed the papers so I think I made out pretty good. Basically paid $500 over invoice for a brand new bike with 2 miles on it. There are a few on e-bay (one is a NJ dealer) for $9,895 but when you get the final numbers the price ends up being like $11,300 OTD.. IMO, $11,000 OTD for a new 08 Honda is a good deal. These aren't Suzuki's or Yamaha's you know.. Lol...

 

Yeah I think i might have found the place im going to buy the bike, will show you an tell how it turns out when all is done, thanks for all the input this is the main reson for starting this thread. And you are right smokey they have brand new Suzuki's and yamahas for way less. But they are not hondas the best bike / car / any thing made. last and are very highly respected, I have this 15yr old bike of mine for sale and still runs like day one. Selling for more down payment money if not ill have TWO ;-). But i learned an this bike and got my msf card because of this bike and got into a crash bad one and sir lifted on this bike time to grow up and cruz in stylish 1000 but dont get it twisted ill race. lol j/p.

there is not a single bad thing about this... as a matter of fact I totalled it rebuilt it and still dont have any problems with it, never did, and if u compare how it handles compared to my 06 1k or my 05 600 ... well you cant really compare it. This bike is a beast. And believe me when I say; with 3-4k in smart parts you will dominate any ducati out there.. or any other bike for that matter

 

I could rebuild this bike for 3-4k from the ground up and make it super super fast, but why not put 3-4k on a down payment. And this bike was a great learning bike for me i will never forget my f3, but the 1000rr is the king of sport bikes , at least i think, and im going to baby it to say the least. I went to the daytona 200 sponsored by HONDA and man that was the first and best bike race i ever saw in my life, at night to. the first one they said they did at night, my sister got a video of me on a 08 1000 in front will you tube them tmrw so everyone can see,i hope they dont try to ban my vids because its of a race , they say no tv shows, music concerts so i think it might be the same thing, hope not. will see tmrw.

Honda was in first place tell about the last 12 laps then some one went down, they were ok but had to break for a while then resumed and bam number 4 honda was not even on the board.

I got to meet jayson brittion from super bikes and the whole honda race team, sweet.
