Default Busted in NC

We went riding in NC at Deals Gap last weekend and when we pulled out for the day's riding, my buddy and I did a wheelie right in front on a NC Trooper. He was cool with us and actually wrote the ticket for something less so we wouldn't have to appear in court. Does anyone know if the points will show up on my FL license? My neighbor told me to get a lawyer to handle it and he will make it all go away for a price.

I think the points show up regardless of state, but I could be wrong. All I know for sure is you got busted! At least he wrote it for a lesser offense though.

most states don't care about points issued out of state but call the local DMV to confirm

I think the points count no matter where you got em. What was the charge he wrote you for? I live in NC and most of the older guys will give you a warning and tell you to watch out for the rookie troopers cause they are dicks.

Maybe you should not do wheelies in front of State troopers, then you would not need the services of an attorney [>:]

I wasnt aware that you could even get points for something that happened out of state. I thought they just made the fine bigger, and was done with it.

Many states DMV systems are intra-linked. What I would be more concerned with would be the Insurance company. Depending on the type of violation you are found guilty of regardless of what the original offense was reduced from (if this happens).
