where is it at? ill buy it hot or not lol. if the bike is stolen buy a new frame with a clean title and swap frames and you would still have a good deal. or if you could hold onto it for a while check with the dmv to see if its stolen, if it is they will usually release a new title for it after a certain time period from the date it was reported stolen (i dont know how long it takes for them to be able to do that). my brother had a bike that was given to him because it had been in a wreck and he was going to fix it and keep it but he found out it was stolen and gave it to a friend of his cause he didnt want to get caught with it. i guess the guy rebuilt it asked for a new title and registered the thing with no problems. it was a 97 though so like i said i dont know how soon they will allow you to re-register a previously stolen bike but it can happen lol.

If the bike is stolen, REPORT IT!!!!!
I don't think this site is the place to discuss how to get around "STOLEN" bike issues. I am sure your trying to help, but the best thing to do with stolen property is to not receive it!
I don't care if my bike was in pieces or intact, I would like to know if it was found after it got stolen. To buy a bike knowing its hot, just to swap frames and whatever else you need to do to get it "legit" is WRONG!
Save up the money and buy a bike like the rest of the responsible people do.
