Default Anyone have good eyes?

I am considering buying an 06 cbr 1000 it's a wrecked bike with 5,000 miles, but all i have is 5 pictures to judge the damage by. I'm definetily not an expert and probably couldn't tell a 1000 from a 600 yet. I've been offered this bike for $2,500 can anyone spot anything that would make this a bad deal? I plan on fixing it and riding it.

Please reply soon i only have until friday to decide.
Thanks to anyone who can give me some advice.

I'm not sure, but I think it's been down on it's right side.
Before putting down the cash, you really should take a look at the bike in person, and make sure at least the engine still runs and that there aren't any leaking fluids. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the front forks were bent, which you would have to replace.

first off it's a 1Krr - you can tell by the engine casing - it's alittle bigger then a 600rr. Ehonda is right, the son of a B has bent his forks, you can tell the handlebars are almost straight but the tire is still pointing left. i bet you it does run, but you still want to make sure the frame is not bent nor the subframe. also the radiator is another vuln spot to look out for - usually they get cracked in wrecks.

Idk about 2.5K - if you talk him down to$1,900 or something then if all else fails, you can part it out and make a profit if it is a lemon..

at wrecked bikes, you need to get a nice inspection of it because even after that you will still find out new problems comming up - pretty much most of them are turned into stunt bikes because to get it back to original state would just be like throwing money into the fire.

i got to say, it is one of the finer wrecked bikes i've seen but unless you can inspect it yourself - you will never know..

Its really hard to tell by pics alone. I would urge you to take a look at the bike in person to see if there is anything bent, tweaked and or broken on the frame and forks. bikes theese days are built really tough but depending on the severity of the crash you might get something that is too expensive to fix.

Yeah if the frame is bent or a nick on it the insurance usually consideres it wrecked. (done)
not sure but the forks looks bent in the pics.
also don't know if the radiator is messed up.

+1 on lookin at the bike in person...

If you do get it, at least the cbr is easy to work on, I may consider if I see it person and take it for 1200 bucks no more than 1500. Just part it out or take it apart and learn the in and outs. Someone is always looking for a new engine.

As long as the frame and forks weren't damaged your good. I've done quite a few crash estimates in my shop over the years and for $2,500 I'd buy it. Judging by pics you might have about $5-7k in it before it looks like new but worth it because the bike books for around $9,700. I know this because I just fixed one with both sides and front damged. I say buy it.

Looks like the frame sliders did there job at keeping frame damage to a minimum. Front fork does look goofy though but I can't tell. Could just be a bent back right side clip on, as when you lay a bike down that bar end slider takes the brunt of the force. Like they say, Take a look in person before buying may save you trouble. If all that is wrong with that bike is a bent clip on and a new fairing, you might have a good deal that is only gonna cost you about a thousand to fix. If the radiator is messed up and the forks are bent, well then now we're talking a big investment.
