Thinking about selling my '00 929 to step up to a newer 1000 and wanted to know if there are any differences between the two years. I have found good deals on an '04 and an '05.

 

biggest changes was from the 05 to 06. see if you can get a deal on an 06.

 

2006 and up for sure!! Hold out and wait till 2008 if you have to.

 

What is different between and '05 and an '06?

Let's put it this way... for someone who is an extremely novice rider, would I ever notice a difference between an '04/'05 and an '06+? Looking to get the '05 because I have found one that is basically brand new, unmolested, and it is killer priced.

 

Thats cool was just giving my .02 on the 06. And also sayinhg that because they still have them around so you can get a good *** deal since the 08 has been unveiled. But Cbr nonetheless is a great choice.

The biggest thing with the 06 is that it dropped approx. 20 lbs.

 

04-05 had stator problems too didnt they?

no real difference between the two...everything changed on the 06. try gettin an 06 stator after you buy the 04 or 05...u will need it.
