Advice 04 1000RR CBR
I have been looking to buy a honda cbr 1000rr without much sucess.. I live in southern california...
I found an 04 one, two owners, i would be the third that has about 9500 miles... The asking price is about $7500.. its pretty much stock with a slip on exhaust.... The owner said it fell once on the right side.... and the ferring has a crack in it but not big..
What do you guys think??

RE: Advice 04 1000RR CBR
In TX that bike would be worth about $6000
Here is the rule of thumb I use for pricing:
Take the KBB Prices (Trade-in and the retail) and come up with an average then deduct the price of the new Plastic to replace the broken one.
Just remember you will be the 3rd owner!!!!
I bet if you keep looking you can find a clean 04-05 no damage one owner for $7,000
I only paid $8900 for my new 06 in Dallas,TX where no one ever gets a very good deal.
When I was looking for a CBR I found several 04-05 one owner under 4000 mile bikes for around 7K.
The Hunt is part of the fun of buying a new bike!!!

RE: Advice 04 1000RR CBR
04' and 05' same just different colours....06' totally different 04'-05', I had the 05' before the 06' and it is a big difference and the 07' is meant to be the same as 06', with different colours.... The 06' is a better bike everywhere! Its not just a little lighter and revs alittle more! It is a different bike full stop!
