Go to a track day and count how many liter bikes vs 600's you see...

Then report about which bike is "better"...

I've never met a 1000cc rider on the street that can launch the bike. Very rarely do I see a liter bike rider on the street that actually knows how to brake/corner agressively. Most of the time they just wait till the exit of the corner and pin it cause they know they can catch up.

i honestly love my f4i. i do want a 1k bike but i honestly think i would kill myself on one. im dumb as it is on my 600. ive thought about getting rid of it a few times but i love riding. and seeing im only 5'8'' 150lbs. i think i would be to small for one.

My F4i was my first bike, and I've had it for over five years now.

This summer, I purchased an 07 ZX-10R in addition to my F4i. I think it's the best thing any motorcycle enthusiast can do.

600s are smaller, more nimble, more fun to just be goofy on.

1000s are fast, torque monsters, and amazingly fun when you just want to feel power. I bought mine lowered, extended and drag-race friendly. I had intended to turn it back into a street machine, but after going to the drag strip and having fun doing hole shots at any given time on the street, it's just too damn fun.

Next step? Get a super motard. Mmm the trifecta!

If you really like twisties, stick with a 600. If you like speed and find yourself commuting more than anything, a 1000 is a blast (and occasional twisty friendly, just please learn to do it properly).

My first bike was an F3, bought an f4i after that, then a 929 and my current bike is 2003 954. After Owning a 954 for almost 6 months, I bought a project F2. Despite the fact that I love my 954 more than my girlfriend! I ride my F2 more often! Why? Cuz I love the joy of a 600 too.

Should I sell my 954? Probably not! cuz whenever I am on my 954, I feel like I am the fastest there is, the fastest there was and the fastest there ever will be

Bottom line! I love my F2 as well as my 954. Both a liter bike and a 600cc bike have different riding styles and tottaly different feelings of joy

And I know that most people will disagree with me but my F2 corners wayy better than the 954! but in the straight line, if compared, bye bye f2!

Im not really sure how thats relevant. 600's are way cheaper to buy, convert and fix, so why wouldn't you see more of them in an evironment that can lead to damages? the cost of tires can add up pretty quick on its own when comparing the two. Not to mention a lot of riders who are new to the sport tend to do track days to improve their skills, and most new riders are rockn 600's.

Also, you may be missing the fact that a lot of riders who move up to a liter bike keep their 600 and convert it to a track bike. So most of those 600 bikes you see are track only bikes, ridden by liter bike owners.

And I know that most people will disagree with me but my F2 corners wayy better than the 954!
I won't disagree with you completely. But I would chock it up to you just feel more comfortable on the F2 for some reason. But bike to bike, the 954 is a milestone ahead of the F2.

On another note. anyone else realize the OP hasn't responded?

But you own two bikes, and I doubt if you were told you could only keep 1 that it would be your F2.

Maybe it would, and if so you are certainly outside of the norm.

Yeah, I had noticed the OP hasn't replied but there is enough discussion (call it opinions mostly) to keep the thread alive anyway.

My next bike will probably be a 6 but not because I don't totally prefer a Lite. I would buy a second bike to get my GF riding on her own. I would love to own 2 Liters but that's insane for her to have and unless I sold/traded mine for 2 bikes (newer Liter and a second bike) my best option is to buy her a used 600. Plus I love my 1000RR6 so much I really have no desire to trade up a few years. I totally agree with the comment about 'once you go Liter, you never go back.'

My 600rr has wheels, I'm just glad to have a bike and I could give a flying squirrel F what anyone else rides. This brings up a good point, I wonder if anyone has pecker envy of those guys that ride those boss hog bikes or whatever they are, talk about some displacement, man those things are ridiculous!

Besides there are more important things to do now that there is white crap all over the ground here, like drink mass quantities of beer, which speaking of that...I must be returning too!

Which is where this thread went way off the OP's question, because he really wanted opinions on the matter from those who have liter bikes and the pro's and cons of it. Its when people feel the need to object that 600's are better for some reason, that it gets all pissy.

But at least the 1000RR section has some activity for once.

nah..... I already got hurt on one of those...
