Actually, that was pretty close. The exact comment was, and I quote, "If that's what you want. Just make sure that you have enough insurance so that I can grieve in the style to which I have become accustomed." A very pragmatic spouse.

I'm 47, bought my first bike at 40........2001 Honda f4i, which I still ride today!

Ha! I started this thread a couple years ago when I was itching for a new bike. I wanted a cbr 1000rr but had ridden cruisers my whole life. I ended up buying an 09 Roadking and while loving all that it offers, am still coming back to this forum, LOL.

40 has turned into 45 and the previous posts have given me inspiration. Hopefully the '12 1000rr will be out soon and I can get the ok from the Mrs.
