Can't wait for the liter bike shoot out. As it looks like it'll perform much better than previous CBR's, Kawa completely re-did The ZX-10 as well. The question is, will anyone be able to topple the mighty gixxer in '08. LETS GO BIG RED!!! Still fugly though imo....

Yeah, hopefully in AMA Honda will WHIP some Gixxer butt for a change, if this bike lives up to its billing. They also may need to really look @ bringing in some better riders also...

Sorry to resurrect an older post. I finally got a moment to sit still an watch the videos on this post. While I'm still not sold on the new 1000,yet,the videos gave me the itch to hit the closest track.I know there is supposed to be one close-by here in the New Orleans area. Since I bought my 07 1k, I've been drawn more and more into the the sport. I really love this bike. I'll get to that track sooner or later. Gotta say, the ew 1k is groing on me and the video (I watched w/o sound b/c the wife is trying to sleep) sure helped.

I sat on one at the bike show up in Cleveland yesterday. It looks alot better when it's sitting in front of you that it does in a pic and when I sat on it, it felt like a 600. To me it would be worth picking up although I have a sleek, black '06 1000RR that I adore. Of course the rear fender on the '08 has to go and the new exhaust will take some getting used to. All in all, I'm sure it will gain a dedicated following once it's available to the masses.

i dont know about performance wise but in looks the 07 is better then 08. to me undertail exhaust are more comftorable and better looking. and the front looks a bit rounder then the07. thas my opinion... and as the gixxer goes i dont like em...single headlight, exhaust on the sides, colors white n blue, yuuck
