That's a new one on me. I wasn't aware there was an issue back then. Hopefully someone else might chime in. Maybe consider reaching out to Honda directly, not a local dealer?

 

My 08 has that noise as well, specifically on idle and decel. I didn’t know that it was an issue until I bought it, but found out shortly thereafter, previous owner said he never noticed it. There are guys that have ridden once they first heard it for 10k+ miles and never had issues, but for me it’s more of an annoyance thing. The most suggested online solution seems to be swapping in a new engine. Price wise, that seems about on par with a rebuild.
