ahh. I would if i knew someone who knew alot about bikes. All i know is to check to see if the bike is cold, and listen to how it runs off a cold start. Besides that.... [X(] listen to how it idles and switches gears. Any mo tips?

 

Listen for odd noises...Katana motors are air and oil cooled and tend t obe rather noisy ( sounds like it has rubber bands inside) and makes chirping sounds. I had a 600 Kan-O-Tuna once waaaayy back in the day. Accessing the motor is rather a pain in the ***, since almost the entire bike has to be stripped of its body work to access the motor( sparkplugs, ect) but they are great bikes, especially for a beginner...just dont drop it or your bank account will suffer major damage trying to fix it

 

so limpz, would the carb be way back there as well, or is that in a good to reach spot?
