Question 05 CBR 1000rr - engine ticking

Now, i know people have talked a lot about this tapping/rattling noise but, i have yet to see something/someone answer my sounding issue. Anyways, here's my issue.

It's a 05 10,300mile cbr 1000rr, i just changed the oil about 1k miles ago. I run Mobile1 advanced fully synthetic. I'v had the bike about 2 months. With no issues until now, which i don't know if it's a issue but, it doesn't sound good. The oild ran before i went to mobile 1 was the honda oil idk if it was fully synthetic or not but ya...anyways,

BTW, i did ride without my helmet, so i know i could hear this easy.

Reading from the forums it says the ticking would stop if the bike got warm if it were the CCT (((I havn't checked this but it doesn't sound like this would be it by what people are saying about how to tell if its going out and such))) and it could be a valve or something but, there never is a exact to how my bike is acting. In my case when i start it, it starts ticking. When i let it warm up from being cold to 180F it still ticks. The faster i go the louder the ticking, so loud it sounds like it's Rattling. If i sit in neutral and rev it a little bit or am driving it ticks. Sounds like someone is tapping a piece of metal with their finger nail and the faster and higher my rpm's get the louder it gets. its coming from all around the engine, in the front, right under the gas-tank. I don't know if this is a serious problem but, im freaking out. i just heard it today....Please tell me what you think and what the cause would be.

Thanks,
Rusty

You posted this in the 1991-1994 600 F2 forum. You'll probably get better help in the 1KRR forums.

as for the issue - a bad CCT usually sounds like shaking a can with a couple of nails in it. It does not always get better with the engine hot, and doesn't always go away under throttle - depending on how bad the CCT is, it can be allowing slap under all loads.

but - the 1kRR crew would be best suited to help you out.

Ya, the APE manual cct or one like it will be a better part than the crappy automatic tensioner in there now, idk about your motor but for ours it makes it a lot easier to remove the motor mount on that side
