I started this because of all the arguments vs the two. I would like to know what everyone thinks of both and why you think anyone should buy on over the other.

Yeah well your opinion means nothing to me I want opininions from people with a brain not a childish 19 yr old with his first 1000.

 

I know alot of guys around here who own 06 and 07 CBR 1000's. I have let a few of them ride my bike and they go crazy. They say their bikes feel like boats compared to the 08.

The 08 is a beast on rides too. My bike is well respected from everyone that rides with us.

 

i agree fully with killa, the bike is lighter and the low end is like a blur! very compact and its really well respected on the road by other bikers!

It isn't "vs the two". It is actually among the three. The '04-'05, '06-'07, and '08-'09. To be completely obvious ... '08-'09>'06-'07>'04-'05. The 2008 1000RR is a world beater while the previous 1000RRs were also rans. Anyonewhoargues that the '08-'09 isn't completely superior to the past iterations is delusional.The '08-'09 is lighter, changes direction better,accelerates better, and IMO looks better (like the 2008 RC212V prototype). 90% of the moto mags/journalists can't be wrong. The '08 is the best liter bike ever built.

how can you argue with people about the difference of 1krr over the years since you don't even know that in 04-07 are 2 completely different models
plus if you wanna get a real answer go take all 3 of'em for a test, and then i'll have your own opinion and you'll not have to trust none of us or to call people liars just because you dont have one, everyone loves his bike, and all of us like to think that his bike is the best, but you asked about the difference and then i'll tell you that is not 2 bikes the same not even different models
and since you asked people for opinion, you just listen and do whatever you like, not to argue that isn't true(couple seconds ago you're the one asking for advice and now you're the one how knows everything)
and if you really have a 05 1krr, congrats, good bike, but the 08 is superior than the 05, thats the truth and take it the way it is
