It's what I'd do.........................
Besides, with that supersticky rear you bought, you'll need a new rear soon anyway........

Just a plug for Motorcycle Superstore. They hav great prices and now have a preferred installer program. They will ship directly to your choice of preferred installer. I just ordered Bridgestone BT-016.

+1. Just ordered Pilot Road 2's for $301 including shipping. I'm having them shipped to me, though; it's about time I tackled changing tires. Besides, the nearest dealer charges $50 a pop.

Yep, that's about what I found them for, too, Craig, but I think it was at Dennis Kirk.
I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go the same route with my next set...

I see I'm not alone with my local shops wanting to bend me over for a tire swap.
I was quoted $50 and $60. No reach-around.

Remember you're gonna need irons and I'd definitely get some rim protectors for the job..

I have the Metzler Z4s on my '07 VFR and '96 1000F. They are okay but The Z6 model tires I put on my CB919 seem like a great tire. Rain or shine they have earned my trust. Has anyone tried these on their CBR?

They're cheap and reviews seem consistent.
Been checking out the 009 Ravens specifically !

http://www.shinkotireusa.com/product/product.php?id=8

revzilla MSS and others seem to have good pricing
