You would have had more luck in the 600F section - the 1000F is a different bike !

I have the same problem, A leak that looks like its going from the water pump (?) I think, its on the left side of the bike near the kickstand.

I hope it isn't my stator I just replaced it?

What else could it be? Ima take some pictures later

Stator cover oil seal ? Probably !
Fairly easy job...........it's a big seal where the stator cover meets the stator. Stator runs in oil, so if you pinched the gasket/rubber seal it'll leak.

I don't think it's the stator cover that is leaking. It happened after my bike was hit by a car, while parking, and knocked over onto it's left side.

WHat else can leak on that side? I dont have any fairings on my bike so it's easier to see what's going on. I'm getting drops of oil building up on the lower bolt of what looks like either the water or oil pump thing? it's to the left of the kickstand.

The stator cover doesn't look like it's leaking

There's a cover on the left, lower side that often will crack if the bike is dropped on it's left side.............the cover is over the end of the crankshaft, under the round plastic cover (3 allen heads) and has a big cover, size around 25mm or 1" which covers the end of the crank in the middle of it....................It's probably cracked, but can be repaired with JB weld as I remember. It's happened to a couple of our members in the past. Idodirt put up posts about it about a year or so back.

Where the water Pump goes into the engine there is a big O-Ring. If this deteriorates it will weap oil. The wind usually makes it run along the engine.

Also as previously mentioned the Gearshift Shaft Seal can also wear out.

Finally the cover behind the sprocket (This cover also has the gearshift lever going through it) can leak. Its a ***** of a job to do as well.
