Good question
Good question. I get "lost" in my kitchen, so I too say do not park the bike there... If you do, get a GPS device.
Seems the bike may be leaking while the oil pump is pumping pressurized oil to the system. Might have to flip that clean white towel over so it is clean and white again, then start your bike and see where the oil is coming from (rev it up to get the pump pressure up). If it drips, you will eventually need to take off the plastic to find the leak point. Could be that shift shaft leak as mentioned above so you will have to ride it to find that out. There is one thing you can always depend on when it comes to mechanical things. IF they leak and stop, they will leak worse at the time you don't want them to leak the most (in the middle of the desert!).
Kind of like a plumber letting galvanic corrosion seal up some galvanized piping to a hot water heater. Yes, Steve, I got your number buddy... The galvanized pipe will blow a hole through that corrosion on a 1 degree C mid-night time after your company's Christmas party and you drank too much to find the main shut off valve!!!
In other words, don't believe the oil leak problem went away. It is mechanical and can NOT change its mind, "to leak or not to leak, that is the question".... Mechanical things don't ask questions.
