How old are the Hurricanes that we drive ?

Was the Hurricane name dropped after 1993? Lots of people have never heard of it. Just call them '1000 F's'

 

88 was the last year for the hurricane name in the states...

 

The models up to 1989 was called "Hurricane" From the new model in 1990 the name was dropped. The reason the bike is called "Hurricane" up to 1988 in the US is that the bike wasn't imported to the states in 1989, but imported the 1990 model the year later. So any 1989 models in the US must be imported from other countries.
From 1990 the bikes official name are CBR1000F

 

another name for the hurricane was the plastic maggott, but when you look at todays bikes they looked soooo much better and are more fun to ride. the care you put into your old H is second to none.
