Rate your riding habits.
Standard Organics with lengthin your disc life, decent for everyday/commute.
Ferrodo's or EBC Semi-Metalics bite nicely for spirited riding but will shorten disc life.

I'm not a knee dragging,wheelie popping,donut and burnout crazed loon (yet)[sm=badbadbad.gif]
I'm a bit long in the tooth for all that now and besides Ive been away from bikes for a few years so Im still finding my 'feet' again.
When you say metalic pads do you mean sintered?
I think Organic types would suit me at the moment, but what about brands? have you any favourites?

I was useing Ferodo Platinum thay were ok but very dirty on the rims.If you cook them at the track there no good after. I am useing Goodridge Kevlar Supersport pad, cleaner and less efort to stop but take a while to bed in when you first fit them.

Sawnee,

I just purchased and installed some EBC pads. Not sure if there is anything special about the composition, but they work just fine. I bought them from the local dealer, but I see they are sold on line too. They were about $33.00-37.00 US a set. And Im like you, a pretty conservative rider with an occasional twist of the throttle. Pads work great though and has great stopping power.

Thanks for the info, I will probably go with EBC this time (till I get my bottle back) then go for a more sports pad next time.

Tires and brakes are the safety equipment you never want to skimp on. I have the EBC HH (double H's) on my '93. Easy to modulate and more stopping power = less effort needed.

What is the difference between 'HH' and (is the other one called?) 'GG'

I'm not sure what "GG" s are. The HH's wre the hot setup for racing when Da Kid was racing his F3 against newer machines and still got a 3rd at the amature nationals in 2000.

Just looked it up and it means 'standard' as in standard road use.
(I should have done this anyway, just being lazy I suppose)
