very neat idea! i thought about putting a different tail scetion on my hurricane. from my research the early 900rr's had similar front mount for the seat, so that is the way i was leaning... what bike did yours come from? did you have to change the subframe to mount that tail?
you have what appears to be a nice line from the side panel to the lowest part of the tail, but i think you need to put something (not sure what) between the two. i have an idea or 2, but i would really need some better pictures of the area between the 2 body parts to maybe come up with something a little more concrete.
so post up some close ups, and lets see what ideas come from the members here...
BTW.... get that skinny tire changed...

old, very nice bik man!!! very nice indeed. i just painted mine with 2 racing stripes down the middle. well, my tail section is lose (due to a broken bracket) so the lines are somewhat off. so i had been toyin with the idea of putting a different tail on and now seeing yours, i think it would be a good idea. i basically have the same ?'s as 1000

excellent work, you are a talented dude! i pulled my rear end apart but it all looked to hard so put it back together, though did put a wider wheel on, have to agree with Hurricane, its a good look. is that the rear off another bike of did you do the mods from scratch? can you post some details on how you did this, am very interested. thanks
ps. there is a post in here somewhere by gwilson i think it is, he has done the single sided swingarm and tail off another honda, nice job, it must be nice to be talented!!!

RE: well it's still a work in process
sorry bro my computer sucks. anyways the rear end is off a 98 tl 1000r and mounting wasn't wicked hard! ummm i had to move all the elctronic stuff to the inside of the rear frame, i also cut an inch or two off it. and yes i defn need the wheel and i'm worrking on it. as for those side panels, the stock ones wouldn't flow at all so i cut them up and need some ideas to do a one off peice. so any help on make a whole panel would e apreciated. sorry it took so long.

post some close up pics of the area from the side, top, rear angle, and front (basically all around) for both sides. i have an idea for some covers for you, just want to think it through before i go on and on and on and on.... you get the picture...
it looks like you may have some fabbing skills, so my idea should be easy for you to work with... do you have a heat gun?
as for the rear wheel, i dont believe that you have to stay with the cbr1000f rim. if i were a betting man (judging from last sunday, not a very good one at least), i would look at the 900RR, 1100XX, superhawk, or any other liter class honda bike. IIRC, they all use the same sprocket side spacer (get the part number from bike bandit, and compare with the other models). if this is true then they have the same engine sprocket offset, so the only difference is the brake side, and you already need to make/get a spacer for that to work anyways.
honda used alot of the same parts on different bikes, that is how i was able to put the 99 1100xx front end on my 88, they use the same head bearings, just a different length steering stem.
