Hey Sawnee , good to see you back! Was starting to think you were MIA!

I bought a set of Hein Gerike leathers off e-bay about eight months ago , they're my favourite , so comfortable on the bike and really well made .
I got two other sets of two piece leathers , a Frank Thomas and a Richa , all bought second hand, but the old Hein Gerike are what I use the most.

Do yours have the 'Hiprotec' inserts in the knees and hips?

BTW Pete , Ian Anderson is in Jethro Tull , not Uriah Heep

My leathers get fed on bugs each time I go out and get a drink when it rains.

Then once a year they get treated to Autoglym leather cream and a good buffing !!

I learned about the mineral oil when I bought a pair of Red Wing boots and they oiled them for me. It was at that store that the old timer working there told me that the Red Wing oil was mineral oil. If you want to keep your riding boots from sucking up rain water, oil them.

Hi I use Fabric Gold. Most camping shops sell it. One tin does my jacket trousers and gloves once a year and a wipe over with leather cleaner feeder on a regular bases to keep them clean and supple. Never let water in and feel great.
Been using these for years and never had any problems.Give it a try you wont be dissapoited.
