I can agree with ya on that one dietDr Thunder. It would be nice if they diid tho huh? lol! Course reality is like you said unless the motor has been worked over not likely to run past 155 or so. I do know my speedo is grossly fast tho. When I'm going 65 on it I'm only doing about 58 or so in reality. The bike had been clocked before a few years back before the big azz sprocket was added on back at about 161 mph. Course that was then & this is now. lol! So I would say 152 to 155 sounds about right. Beside its not rocket science were talkin about. Its having the pleasure of riding them no matter who says what about who's is faster. Not to mention my old gal is 18 yrs. old now. It's all about how much we still enjoy them right Steve err Steve?? Back me up mate?? lol!

The only place those bikes make 135hp is at the brochure. I had a Triumph Daytona 1200 some years back. They big hubub in all of the literature for that bike was that it made 147hp. It was an awesome bike that I loved dearly, but like hte 135hp CBR1000F, 147hp was pure fantasy...not even close. On a dyno it made 119hp, bumped up to 127 with a pipe, degreed cams, and jet work. Also, digital speedos aren't any more accurate than any other speedos. There is no CBR1000F on Earth or anywhere else that can go 170+ without going into the motor (or doing something like nitrous).

Sorry, it's just a fact. I love the bikes...have one myself...but they simply aren't that fast.

you may be right i don't know anything about dyno testing nor care to find out all i know is what it said on the clock. and BTW the dyno will also give you the wrong speed as its done in a workshop the only way to know for sure is use a satnave/gps which shows your speed or a cops radar gun

The dyno info from the company would have been be accurate at the time they did it , within the set of conditions, weather included that it was performed in and the way it was done by them...
Honda have no reason to lie and in actual fact , they know that ding dongs are going to put these high powered bikes on dyno's to check them .. so why would they bother to BS ....

and anyways ...135 145 150 hp, 150 160 170 mph , who gives a chit ...

you come unstuck doing any of the above at the limit ..
...you gunna die = no argument
classic you are 100% right and i wont be doing 180 again done it once dont need or want to again
