Time to book 2008 track days
I've just been speaking to chairman Patrik Ericsson of SMC-School, and he told me that no one needs to repeat any courses or training they have already completed.
However, you need to follow the curriculum in consecutive order, ie "Step 1 - the bike" is required to enter "Step 2 - choosing a track".
I don't know whether or not SMC acknowledges any other courses but their own, so if you've done courses by another organisation, who knows what SMC thinks of that? They seem to be reasonable, so why not ask'em?

Thanks CosmoBob :-) I've just talked to Patrik and he told me that you must start with session #1 before moving to #2 etc. I'll skip this the since there are other events that gives more for less cost to me.
There are probably other dates when wecan join up.....starting with the one we were talking about in V-rĂ¥s(hälla) 18 May.
Then the public trackday at GellerĂ¥sen that R1000 talked about at the end of July is interesting too.....then you have the publicevenings at Linköping Motorstadion. I'll probably skip the SMC trackday too at GellerĂ¥sen....there will be plenty of other occasions to go driving at a track.
Cosmo....didn't you have a Aqua Box (ram mount)to your GPS ? What part number did you have on the box and what GPS model did you have. I got a Packard Bell GPS and are lookingfor some kind of waterproof box to it. I would love to have one thatis pretty much the same size as my GPS and not a "big" box with a lot of "empty" room in when the GPS i inthe box.Thinking of doing one atmy own...

I cant even see my GPS during the day on the factor of the sun. The only way I can see the screen is to put my hand over it and thats probably not the best thing to be doing while riding. Ensure you r GPS will be mounted at the right angle for you to see it.
Here is a link to the AMCRA track minutes from where I live. I'm hoping to get the Cane around it this Spring for a good roast. Its the best track East of Montreal.

Lucky man Gill, congratulations!Blue1000F: no I have no mount for my gps. When riding my bike I'm only listening to directions. I haven't been using the display when riding, only in my car.
I believe it was our compatriot Mikekop who had a RAM-mount, the url was www.r-a-m.nu I think, see thread here https://cbrforum.com/m_479346/tm.htm
This isa curve showing that the old Bird may be compatible on track out of curvesvs. newer sport bikes :-) It is also regeared 10% to compensate for the weight.
