RE: Time to book 2008 track days
I might have interest in the GellerĂ¥sen training 8th of june. GellerĂ¥sen is 110 km closer to me, and this might be the difference in driving home after the training or be forced to sleep over. Besides, there could come snow in the beginning of May where I live... Brrr...

RE: Time to book 2008 track days
I'm about to make final payment for track day (sportbike) at GellerĂ¥sen June the 8th and would like to know if you guys will ride there too, or if it would be better for me to cancel and book for another day? What's your current plans?

RE: Time to book 2008 track days
I was planning to go there June 8 and earliertried to make a reservation. I was not able to book into the group I wanted, so I gave up. If I understood the conditions correctly, all participants on the SH-training (sport bike) must start from the entry level, and it is nothing wrong with that. But then one must go thru several and quite expensive steps on different days, which will take the whole season. I didn't feel for paying a lot of money to repeat basic training that I've done before in other events (even if I should). Please tell me CosmoBobif I did misunderstand the course planning, I like GellerĂ¥sen a lot and will go there if I can choose the group I want. Perhaps there is no split into groups at all andeveryone learns to sit on the bike at the first event, counter steer etc on the second event and so on.
In the pipe right now are the events at Hälla Ring, starting May 18 and three more occasions. Then there will be three or four public track days on GellerĂ¥sen around July 21 to 24, which is arranged by the Swedish Bike magazine. I will definitely attend to one of these days and these days are drop-in events. There is usually one of these days that is reserved for Bike magazine subscribers, which I am.
These are the plans right now, on top of the trip toNurburg RingMay 9 to 14.
I'mlooking forward to any other suggestions that may come up from the Swedish guys.
