Nice looking ride Johnno! That sure is a high rack. I don't think I ever saw one that high.

Johnno, that's really a nice looking example! I rev mine regularly to 8 or 9K and she loves it. Pulls well from 4K if I can't be bothered to knock it down to overtake but somtemes I drop three gears, just for ***** and giggles, and nail the throttle wide. Really takes off around 7K..and I mean REALLY!! Puts a huge grin on my face and I do occasionally let out a loud wooohooo..just can't help it, it's magic therapy. Poor ba5tards behind me must bleed from the ears 'cos the V&H really lets loose at full bore . I f'n love it!!

Nice work Johnny! And Thanks for the well wishes. I guess I am more conservative because all I can advise you is ride within your limits so you are around to tell us more great stories about your girl. She looks beautiful, by the way.

Cheers,

Nice Johnno............very nice

Looks like everyones on the same page 8k up is where
"holy chit factor" kicks in and depending on how you
run your gearing config'...........you can really heat
things up a good bit more too......oh yeah !

Isn't Andover where the show film of that huge tornado on all the weather documentaries? Were you around those parts? Seems like it was the big one.

I grew up in KC. Was in the 59 tornado that hit the Ruskin Heights Shopping Center. They used my dad's station wagon as an ambulance. I remember. None of our houses had basements.

JHouse,

Yes, Andover was the place. I was literally a couple of miles (in Wichita) away bowling and watching it on TV. It was a really bad one for sure. I did not live there at the time though. What a memory about your Dad's car in KC. Thanks for the shout out.

For sure. I've pushed mine to 150MPH and I was only pulling about 9k. She wanted more and I wussed out. I LOVE that roar on a quick throttle opening up to on her from a stop; a head turner for sure. Makes a sweet sound starting about 6k

I like to downshift from fairly high revs too when I'm coming up to my road in the arvo. There's nobody else around and I get awesome crackling on the over run....can't see myself ever getting over it either .
