tendicatena alternatore
Hello everyone. Is it necessary to open the engine to replace only the alternator chain tensioner? or can you replace it by accessing the engine sump and the alternator window? I replaced the alternator chain without breaking the engine, opening and closing the chain. The chain tensioner jammed, I filed my teeth, I inserted a new spring and reassembled. Zero noise. Now I always think of replacing that tensioner. It's been a long time and I don't remember the details of the job anymore. I remember that from the under cup it was possible to access the two close bolts of the tensioner, the third was above the gearbox gears and not accessible, is it possible to disassemble this third bolt? Even disassembling a gearbox gear? Has anyone ever tried it? In the case of opening the engine between the two parts, does any particular sealant work? In addition to the oil pan gasket, what other spare parts do you need to get to do the job? Sorry if I write in Italian mine is bad English. Thank you
