Default Sump question

My mate's 94 Gen3 1kf has a cracked sump... can't find a 94 sump but have found a 90 Gen2 sump .... can anyone tell me for definate if they are the same, or different? Any help is much appreciated ..

And just remind him to make sure the ratchet is set to undone before turning it upside down and swinging on the sump plug

Can you spot the crack???
I reckon a good welder could sort that out easily !
Certainly cheaper than a new sump.
Just fit a new crush washer and, as said above, make sure the ratchet spanner is set correctly

Well looking at the 3 out in my garage, all three types ya got me
bamboozled with that because although obviously I did not flip them
over they sure as hell look the same !


So enlighten me ? hope it's from a physical comparison and not
part numbers !

It's the same sump gasket and the same tappet cover gasket (I know because I fitted a mk1 tappet gasket to my Mk2 and have used others from the Mk1 gasket set)

Methinks there is confusion here........

That's what I was thinking. Need to split the case anyway, why not weld and re-tap it? The sealing surface would need to be done by a machinist.
