strange throttle issue

The 93 model mk111 has vac ports in different places to the mk1 and is a pain to do compared.

My error. I (wrongly) assumed the carbs were the same. Thanks for the info, Jarvid!

I am happy to revisit this thread and report that simply being out of adjustment was in fact the culprit. So far she idles and runs like a top. she cranks easier, doens't pop and sputter when warming up, and with the choke full on doesn't idle above 2k. Once properly warmed up, only idles at 1k. She still runs like a scaled dog too.
She still get plenty warm but thats the nature of the beast but no longer kicks the fan on just getting from my house to the freeway.
Next comes replacing the clutch plates and a bent clutch lever

Great work, good to here she is behaving after a bit of TLC


What sync tool did you use and how did you find the job of sync'ing the carbs?
