Default Starting problems.. universal parts?

I'm having trouble getting my bike going, I'm pretty sure its the ignition switch. When I turn it (most of the time) everything powers on, but it just "clicks". If I move the key on and off on and off eventually it starts and goes like normal. I was looking on ebay and found one ignition switch for 30$ but its in UK. I see quite a few CBR600F3 and CBR1000RR swiches on ebay for 9$~ and I was wondering how universal these switches are? If the plug isn't the same thats not too much of a problem, that can be wired up.. but if it doesn't mount the same way that could prove to be a problem. Thanks for the help.

Just an advice... Before you start spending money take a look at the batery cable terminals, check if they are tight, if cables are ok, and if they don't have any oxidation. You can also take a look at your fuse box to see if no conecting weires are loose, orpresence ofsome oxidation or rust. The problem you described some times is also related with these parst as well.

Actually, I narrowed the problem down to not the actual key part, but the OFF / RUN switch. It seems I need to push it down alittle harder than normally now. Those I *KNOW* I can get elsewhere, if it does end up dying.

If I touch my kill switch, I can be there for 10 minutes flicking it off and on before it starts. The switch is a common problem.

The switch was the only thing I forgot to tell in the last post. It starts giving head akes in short while. Its simple to fix thow.... Dismount the buntons, and the kill switch has one wire feed and one wire exit of the 12 volts for the coil. Simply just weld a wire between the 2 terminal of the switch and you'll never have any more problems. Also you can olny turn the engine off from the ignition switch.
