Just for interest's sake - if you fit the dial from a later model to an earlier speedo it's 20 out as the markings are in slightly different positions on the dial.......at least on KPH speedo's

I rode a long time before I realized it. I remember people kept blowing by me on the interstate and I thought I was doing the speed limit. After using a GPS I realized I was actually only doing 60mph in a 70! Mine is one tooth down on the front sprocket and 11% off. The faster I go, the bigger the difference between actual and reading
