Not sure as to the year of your bike, a bit more info would be good. But my 95 takes a 18mm SPS. Come to think of it my 85 Nighthawk had the same size too. Make sure you put a dalop of di-electric grease on the rubber inside the plug sockets little O-ring do it doesnt stick on the plug when you go to take it off. It can be difficult to get the little rubberoff the plug once it is screwed into the head.

A regular 18mm deep well will do the trick nicely
