I tried the search, but didn't find any posts to specifically answer my question.

I picked up a set of H4 Silverstars in the standard 55/60 watt. Stock Halo is 45/45, can the alt on the Hurricane handle the extra power?

Yes but no higher than that would I venture.

There's a bunch of threads on it !

I've run them for a few years. You must bend the tabs to make them fit or buy the adapter rings. I have not seen long life with them but the light they put out is so much better than stock. Kilgortrout has used a Philips bulb with good success. As Sprock said, have a look at past threads.

I defer to your search prowess Sprock, good threads. I did find my answers and I will try the wire adapter trick to mount these H4's.

Thanks for the help.

Update your profile to show where you're located. The tab bending trick, I believe, only applies to US models.

I moved the H-4 wire adapter trick to alternative parts, or at least started a thread. I had to search to find it but it looks like Sprock already pointed to the H-4 thread where it was originally. I thought I posted it there before but I guess I didn't.
