Shorty Exhaust

Shorty Exhaust
Good evening CBR fanatics. I have a question, i have a 91 and I was wondering if i can run those shorty exhaust pipes with that little to no baffle without it making my bike run crappy? I can t afford a 400 dollar exhaust system right now, and as you know the stock exhaust can be quite quiet. If any one can help with this i would greatly appreciate it. I love my bike just wish the exhaust was a lot louder. I have already had the carbs jetted if that helps.

No worries. I've never seen anything about that. I wouldn't do it though as I think it would sound a bit crap and attract way too much of the wrong sort of attention!
You could sniff around a few wreckers for a couple of cans of the right internal diameter that look less restrictive (or get your local auto muffler shop to make some flanges on their flaring machine). Just tack on brackets in the right place, a coat of heat proof paint and you'd be away.
