If there's a shop nearby that does exhaust coating you could look into Techline's CermaChrome. Best of both worlds -- it's a functional ceramic coating and polishes out to a chrome finish.

I haven't, but, the stock cans- the outside at least- don't run that hot. I know that right after shutting my bike off I can touch the can with my fingers and hold them there for a bit without burning them. I think the cans are double walled and this may be why they don't get too hot on the outside.

Further supplementary question: Indy, who the hell is that girl and why are you letting her touch your bike?

WOW did this thread get hi-jacked. Mission Control, I like that... Yes at one time she was Mission Control; I like "Curves" better it keeps it motorcycle relevant.

How so, since I wouldn't mind polishing her cans.

Indiana, maybe you could contact TRG Coating in the sponsor section of the forum. I think he does the prep work before coating.

(1) Powder coating is the way to go for hi heat and anything else. I would powder coat my house if I could.

(2) Chrome and stickers do make a bike go faster but duct tape will blow them away. Sorry guys but it's true.

(3) What the hell is that antenna looking thing sticking out of your bike?

(4) Where has that girls hands been before she started touching your bike?

(5) Stop knocking Harley Ferguson.....err.....I think that's right. It's Harley Ferguson...isn't it?????
