It"s official
The start of the new riding season that is. Road the CBR to work today for the first time this year. On the long uphill entrance ramp to I-84 I pulled 10k in 3rd and 4th. The cars in my mirrors got small real quick. The bike is running real sweet.
I still have to change the clutch hydrolic fluid. It's still the original fluid. The clutch is still the original too. Da Kid keeps getting on me each season to put in a new clutch. But why if it's not slipping. He rides a CBR600rr. I guess he slips his clutch a lot. I don't need to do that with the 1000F.

Good to hear it, Bassman. I've been enjoying the ride here, too.
Weird how it went from freezing to 80s, though. I prefer the medium temps.... upper 60's/70's. Can't bich, though, cuz it's not snowing....

This mornings ride was even better. Temps in the mid to upper 50's. Slipped by the MAN in Beacon Falls. He's too predictable with that radar.
Over the winter I invested in a "good" pressure gauge. Certified to +/- 2%. Turns out that the gauge I had been using read about 8 psi low. I knew it read lower than my other, older gauge but I felt that slightly higher pressure was safer than too low a pressure. So if I adjusted my rear to 42psi it was really 50psi. With the proper pressure my BT016's changed from pretty good to excellent. Really carving corners now.
