Yer used most of those tools at one time or another Mark ...HiJackThis is dam good ... but yer ... can knock an OS around if yu not careful ...LOL
I was going to format the bastard and use it for a space storage drive now since I managed to get back into it and grab all me stuff off it ....dunno if I will chuck it of not ?
Years ago , I used to collect all the top bugs and viruses , had a heap of all the well known ones locked up here ...actually think they all are still stored on my little old 700 Pentium ... Used to run them for fun and practice getting them out and restoring the drives .... arr.. it amused me ..LOL
As I said the bad bastard that really got me good is just new and is this Malware " Security Tool " thing.... dont think om gunna play with it much ...
anyways ...got all my data back, so I think for fun I will see if I can kill the little ***** and salvage the disk..
Might lock him away in my vault for play time at a later date ...

I once used a forensic company to recover the deleted material on a guys disk who I thought was up to no good. We got a fair amount of stuff, but it was hard to go through it all. Hard to search. This was several years ago.
Oh, and I'm about to take another beating over on that thread where SeanPMN is getting advice on his bike and wondering about getting a bigger bike. Hell, he weighs 300.

Some people are happy to do a jig saw , a crossword puzzle ....me I spent thousands of hours over many years just frigging around with my computers ...When I first started storing caught bugs way back ...I really had no idea how bad they were ...
Gee , I used to go download them deliberatly from hacker mates websites ..
It just seemed logical to chuck them on one of my old PC's offline and see what they did ...then when they did it ...try to un do it ...simple really ...LOL
I was totally PC illiterate still at 38 , my kids when young used to make fun of me because I could not run a floppy game on an old black and white Amstrad that we had then....it had me ****ed how or what this thing actually did .... but mate!! ...now my kids ask ME how to do chit, build and fix there PC/s ...
