Yep JAWS is good.

I have done a lot more to my bike than I listed - I just listed what I thought would make the BB much closer to the 1000F.

A comfortable, well built, powerful machine that even though has some age on them now still looks the goods in the current day.
I could not agree more. I e-mailed a response to Cycle World's article on the VFR1200 and received conformation that it will be in the next issue to hit the newstand. My point is the same as Bordo. Honda could not have screwed up more if they would have let Suzuki design their bikes. My point is that Honda could have updated the 6th generation which I own, by putting the smaller (dimenisionally) 1200cc motor in that bike, offering traction control and abs as standard equipment. That would have put the fire back in the VFR that has been missing since 1986. Now there is the VFR1200's chassis that could handle the current CBR1000RR motor, altered the front end and called it the CBR1000FS (FastSport) or what you think it should be called. Two different bikes that should not cost much over $13,500.00 (USD) for either. Sharing designs among different models reduces cost. I mean the new VFR is $15,995.00 USD and it doesn't even have heated grips. My new 2007 VFR was $9,100.00 two years ago so it is hard for me to see an additional $6,800 dollars of improvements. Oh yeah, did I mention it has a smaller tank versus the "old" VFR yet has a more thirsty engine? Boy, Honda needs to pull its head out soon! Sorry to rant! Just the passion talking. JD

Had a blackbird for the last year as a second bike. Didn't really do much for me, great bike though fast and smooth. Had to go down to 1 bike for the moment so the Bbird got the elbow last week. Couldn't bring myself to sell the cbr1kf.

The BB sure seems to be on my wish list these days, but it will just have to wait. Pretty content with the Hurricane and FZ1. Both have their pluses and minuses, but the Hurricane is so rock solid built and reliable, I cant part with it. The Fizzy is my weekend bike for hot rodding and 2 up, and man does it have the get up and go!

Didn't do much for you ?? Surely your kidding mate !! The BB and the 1000F are a very similar bike. Obviously power output and delivery is different but thats about it. The BB is one of the most awesome bikes on the market in every respect. Your the first guy I've ever heard of thats doesn't like it. But each to their own I spose.

I did say it was a great machine just prefer the old cbr1kf is all...and as i can't run 2 bikes at present it was not a big decision to part with the bb.
