Default Replacement for the 1000F?

Just read the Cycle World review of the new Kowi K1000. Lots of torque, standard seating position, handled execellent, looked ugly. Then I saw the spec sheet. Ave range inc. reserve only 138 miles! NO way could I live with that. I'd have to fill up every day I rode it to work. The CBR gets me two full days comfortably.

Did I mention that it's ugly- see VFR1200.

Check my thread on the VFR 1200F. Butt ugly with Honda losing the plot I reckon. There is no replacement for this bike imo. I have a Blackbird as well which I find is a fine stable mate for the 1000F. Nothin imo will replace it for what it is. A comfortable, well built, powerful machine that even though has some age on them now still looks the goods in the current day.

There just isn't much out there, unfortunately.

I have to tell you guys I sat on a Hyabusa the other day and it felt very much like the 1000f. I am not a fan of Suzuki but, that bike felt right. He said he will let me ride it but I am not sure if I want to or not yet.

They are an awesome machine for sure. I've only ridden one once and didnt like the seat. They hammer for sure but how much grunt do people want ? I find the 1000F and the Blackbird are quite sufficient for me.

Blackbird for me too.

Couple of small mods and your good to go.

1. VFR800vtec bars - slightly higher and further back than OEM blackbird
( makes the BB seating position very close to the 1000F )

2. MRA vario touring screen - keeps the wind off like the 1000F did.

Had no problems with the 1000F other than getting some parts but glad I moved to the BB.

I have a BB guys and have plenty of mods. Let me know if you want any info. I could recommend some more mods than the ones mentioned. For your aftermarket stuff for the birdie go here. Great bloke and top quality stuff.
