So I have a few questions, my bike started to act up the second day I brought it. Some posts online made me think it as the regulator/rectifier - I have the following questions:

1) How can I check that the R/R is good as a resistance test? The CBR1000F manual I have refers to a different R/R with different wires - mine one 5 pin plug and one 2 pin plug - 2 pin has red and green wire while 5 pin has 3 yellow, 1 white and one black.

2) How can I check if my stator is good? Again the manual does not show my particular configuration (1987 1000f).

3) There is a diode with 4 wires leaving it near the R/R - is this the rectifier diode? The wire colors are: 2X Yellow and Blue 1X Red and green & 1X Black. One of these yellow and blue wires is not connected - if this is the rectifier diode, would this being disconnected stop my battery charging?
