Rear Shock ??
Oh yes it can - I regularly take a pneumatic grinder with me on an aircraft - it just needs to go in the checked baggage - you can't carry it on the plane.
But I have to get the actual cost to rebuild from John.....got busy today ...so will find out tomorrow
UPDATE :
119 Pounds Sterling ......so all in all maybe 200 - 220 USD ....not bad
Second Update: You need to arrange shipping somehow ...friend in the UK or whatever out and back
Might pull the trigger on this soon ..... not keen on the idea of just buying an equally used / worn
one on Ebay or spending $500 plus for a Hagon etc.
So nobody has heard of anyone adapting one from a newer bike like the 1000RR ??

Some of the aftermarket guys can put whatever you want on the bottom of the shock - AT A PRICE !!!!
At least you know the 1000F shock works and fits.
perhaps the trick would be to change the bikes mount so it will take a double eye shock ??
Hear ya Deano ...... might be worth a try......hmmm
BTW John at JAWS says ...."Hi"
Think I'll just get the shock over to him somehow.
Events in the shipping world in the past few days
might make shipping even harder though I reckon !

Problem is that the 1000F shock has a fork on the bottom rather than an eye like most current shocks.

Maybe with some massaging of the battery box (clearance for the reservoir), the hayabusa shock would work?
Well Saturday the shock comes out and we'll see what's what with respect to
specifications and measurements etc.
Have a lead on a parts 96 1000F over in NH with shock still in it too !
