Does anyone have the right and left exhaust covers from a late model 1000F that they want to get rid of? I just switched to a TBR single exhaust and I want to modify the covers to hide the collector and secure the lower cowling a little better.

I have the same problem, IĀ“m thinking of making a glass fibre mould using the covers as a mould guide (donĀ“t know the exact word). Anyone have any ideas? There must be more people who had the same probĀ“as me and the Captain?

 

I have some sheet metal tools, like a brake/bender and roller, so if I can't find the correct part I might make a pair. The little clip for the front lower fairing bolt is available from Honda. Actually the whole cover is for about $140 per side!
The term you are looking for is a mould. Which is doable, but more work then just bending up a new one. If I decide to do this, I'll let you know. In the mean time, post up if you havethem and want to sell,and I'll keep an eye on Ebay.
