RE: power difference
he he, shadow. That's it, I'm getting on a ferry......
Well, I didget on the scales this morning. I was 800lbs even with me and my gear.
I then went home and got on my digitals with all my gear on. I weighed 227lbs.
So...800-227= 573lbs wet on the stock1995 (minus emissions crap). Hmmm....
I found some even different specs online today, too, that has the 1987-1992 weighing 511.5lbs dry, and the 1993-1996 at 518.1lbs. They also had shadows bike listed. It was the heaviest by far, and the extra weight was due to it being full of ****.

RE: power difference
Pretty interesting article. Since all the weight numbers have been all over the place (not sure why), I'm just going to go with the 511lb dry weight of the older ones, and the 518lb dry weight of the newer ones. That makes sense to me, especially with my weight today on the scales. It's just about exactly what I expected it to be, and I know m scales are certified, and were just calibrated. Now as far as the HP discrepency....well.... who knows.
Mine is way faster than those "old" ones.
And it's way faster than shadow's, especially with all that extra ball weight he's carrying around. If you need help with that, shadowman, I knowa good doctor.

RE: power difference
Hi all
The earlier models had 135hp at the crank ,about 113hp at the rear and a full weight of about 564pds, the 93 and up at 125 at the crank but tuned for more midrange ( sport touring) about 572 pds il will try to put the article on the forum, earlier models had a qyucker steering and a slightly better acceleration but nonetheless,it was one of the most comfy and overall performantbike on the market at it's time, it did not win all the number battles but was more refined than the competion.
Hey whom does not love hiss Cane
A lot of rider respect it saying it is a great bike!
