I think from memory the spacers are pretty basic, if it all comes off I can easily drop mine out, measure up and a friend with a metal lathe should be able to spin some up for you. Alternatively try Dismantlers / wreckers of Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki Japanese road motorcycles / motorbikes. Used / secondhand parts for your motorcycle or motorbike. in Wellington, he's wrecking a Mk1 at the moment and I wouldn't imagine front axle spacers are something that there is an incredibly high demand for.

Crikey so do I TK, hehe, I'm no photographer. The project bike auction closes in under 2 hours now, no bidders, hopefully it stays that way so I can get another good chance to neg the price down.

Isn't that always how it goes - no apparent interest but all these guys have autobids set up and come in at the last minute. I watched a de reged Kwaka 350 triple (that hasn't run in twelve years) go from $600 to $1500 in about 3 minutes last week.

I suppose you have to think "good on you" - you're a braver man than me. I think the better way to find them (because they are out there) is just constant putting it out there that you're in the market.

And always follow kiwiJK's advice, have a blank set of change of ownership papers in the glovebox so they don't get time to change their minds.

Amazing, someone paid $1100 NZL for it, hard to believe really. Not to worry, I'll keep my eye out for another Mk1 and in the meantime keep accumulating parts as I come across em at honest prices.

TK, I know what you mean, a work mate has been looking for old Kwaka 250 triple parts for ages, ended up getting via ebay for less than what he could find here in NZ.

PS I like the change of pappers in the GB tip too, will keep that in mind.

Cheers all

Chin up R, kiwiJK has managed to find two $300 CBR1000's in Wellington within twelve months. There must be some other ones out there, unless hes' cornered the market.
